- Sponsorship of the extraordinary Annual Scientific Symposium at the IHI National Forum
- Annual Duncan Neuhauser Curricular Innovation Award
- Host of the Quality Improvement Research track at the IHI National Forum
- Establishment of a headquarters office to provide for professional management to enhance AHI services and functions

- Linking with like-minded organizations such as Academy Health and the Society for General Internal Medicine
- Evolving our Web Site into a dynamic network environment buzzing with member activity
